Some of my research...Infographics Examples and Ideas
For the last two projects I took a lot of time researching ideas and looking at several infographic designs. Here are some pages I had bookmarked....
I really enjoyed the colors used in several of these designs and the creative way to add all the text and information into a single page.

About the Final Poster Copy...
I decided to go with the idea of using shoes to illustrate my day and the quote "A day in my shoes". I love shoes so adding shoes would also reflect something about me. I did limit the information after I saw some of the work presented in class. I was thinking of changing the whole poster and doing the coffee cup idea instead. However, I stuck with the original idea since I felt it was more me and also it resembled my day more in the sense that I was always on the road driving somewhere.
Recalling my first project I worked on....A day in my shoes poster
This project was interesting because I am surprised I was able to work on it and finish the design. I worked on it while I was on hydrocodine which made me really really drowsy and nauseas...I am surprised the poster turned out okay ..I did have a lot of trouble trying to align the text to fit in with the illusion of it being on the ground and also trying to make the icons appear like they were standing up.
I sometimes have a tendency of making my work look too busy by adding too much stuff. I always try to keep in mind not to make my work too busy and keep it simple, but not too simple to where it looks like I didn't put any effort into it. When I was working on the poster I was having a hard time adding a background. I was debating if I should just make a simple colored background or add a more interesting background. Looking back at this design I would probably change the background again and change the icons to look like they are laying down flat instead.
The final design I turned had a lot of changes made to it and it was very different than the first design I had presented in class. I limited the information I had added and I also changed the direction of the information.
Original Design 1....
...Second Design I worked on...I was still having trouble with the alignment...I also changed the font on the title and was playing with the idea of adding a moon and some stars...
Final Design....I decided to take a different approach and lay the text differently.

Tuesday July 20 ...the day everything went down hill {literally lol}. I had to do so much catching up after this.
I can't believe its going to be almost four weeks since my accident and I am glad I am okay because it was pretty traumatic. The ford explorer I was in lost control in the freeway after the tire blew out. On the right side of the freeway there was a hill area and there were no side rails- so my car just fell right in. It flipped going down hill until the car hit a small tree and came to a stop. Time felt like it had slowed down as the car was hitting the ground and I could hear the windows breaking and the pieces of glass flying everywhere. Everything just felt so surreal. After the car came to a stop, I was able to open the door and get out. I had blood all over my face, broken nose, busted lip, several hits on my face, head, and body. My right ear was torn really bad..I still had the pieces of glass that cut my ear stuck in there. It was horrible having to climb back up from the hill where my car fell because I knew no one would see me down there. I am surprised I was awake through it all. Once I got on top of the freeway I had to get someone to stop so they could call 911 for me. I was so scared because I didn't know if anyone would stop, but a few people did see me and stopped to help. Shortly after the ambulance got there and took me to the hospital. I was hurting a lot and I just kept praying that I didn't suffer any serious internal injuries. Luckily, I only received stitches on my ear and had a fractured rib. I had several cuts and bruises on my face and body. My whole face and neck got really swollen- I didn't look like myself. It hurt so much getting up and lifting my head up because of the swelling in my head and because of my fractured rib. It took me about a week to actually get out of bed and get rid of the cuts on my face and swelling, and another two weeks to get rid of the pain and bruises. I never imagine this could happen to me, but I am glad I am okay. One thing I learned from this is to always wear a seat belt. I still get scared having to drive everyday, but hopefully I will get rid of that fear soon.
* With that being said, I am going back in time and posting some of my blog entries I would of posted in regards to the assignments I worked on.

..Finally...My redesigned version of the monopoly board.
..More Idea searching....I found these images to be very inspirational.
For the first image I love how this box looks with two colors..however, maybe another color could be used instead of the white. I think this box would work for a monopoly game because the top could be the game board.....
template of box....(this would make an interesting game board shape)
Also....I found this packing design to be really nice, clean, and simple. I really love how they made the font really big and how it runs through different sides of the box.
